Porter Nepal was founded to help porters. Care Porter
Nepal organizes various programs to achieve this goal.
Our ongoing activities are as follows:
Conducting mobile clinics on various points of
our trekking routes
Organizing language training programs for porters
Distributing clothes, shoes and other accessories
to porters for the duration of their treks
Arranging programs with travel and trekking companies
concerning porter's safety and rights
Organizing fundraising programs such as meetings,
letter correspondence etc.
Organizing meetings and seminars for porters to
voice their problems, and give information with
the aim of solving these problem through lectures, audio-visuals, posters, photo exhibitions etc.
Publishing newsletters and progress
reports
Cooperating with various NGOs and INGOs
Frequent website updates and email correspondence to porters and associate partners
